A lot of gibberjabber concerning “science” and “following the science” is being put out by people who can’t define the word “science”, into a society in which most people also cannot define the word “science”.
Propagandists exploit the fact that a very large portion of the populace do not know what the word means and are therefore in a mental fog on the subject.
We could therefore help people a great deal – and in so doing thwart the efforts of propagandists to prey upon that fogginess in order to bamboozle the People – by relentlessly spreading a good basic definition of the word until EVERYBODY who wants to understand it, understands it.
So here is such a good basic definition of the word “science”:
“the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation, experimentation, and the testing of theories against the evidence obtained:”
